The value of your gold is determined by:

The spot price of gold: the price that pure (99.9%) gold is trading at, per troy ounce, on the open market.

The Karat (K) of your gold: the purity of your gold jewelry. 24 Karat is considered pure or 99.9% gold.

The weight of your gold: in order to find out the value of your gold items they must be weighed. We use very accurate scales to determine the weight in pennyweights (DWT), which is the industry standard. There are 20 DWT in a troy ounce of gold.
